Rishikesh has become the destination for families who want the Ganga in their wedding photographs and a drive, not a flight, from Delhi. The wellness framing is genuine, pheras by the river at first light are unlike anything the coast offers, and removing airfare for two hundred guests changes budget math immediately. But the market here is sharply two-tiered, and most published advice blurs the tiers together. All figures below are planner-published 2025-26 estimates; hotels publish no wedding rates, quotes vary by dates, and 18 percent GST is typically extra.

The mainstream market is where most Rishikesh weddings actually happen, and it runs ₹10,00,000 to ₹45,00,000 all-in. Broken down: budget properties host 50 to 100 guests for ₹5 to 12 lakh, mid-tier resorts take 100 to 150 guests at ₹15 to 28 lakh, and the upper mainstream handles 150 to 200 guests for ₹30 to 45 lakh. These are honest, well-sourced bands, and for many families they represent the whole conversation. The two five-star properties above them are a different universe, priced accordingly.

Taj Rishikesh Resort and Spa is the intimate luxury option, terraced above a bend in the river. It has 79 rooms, a verified count, and its formats are deliberately small: around 70 seated in the banquet, 150 seated on the lawn, and a practical ceiling near 200 guests. This is not a venue for the 400-person list; it is for families who want every guest inside one extraordinary frame. Plates run ₹6,000 to 7,000, the highest catering band in the region.

On totals at the Taj, the data needs flagging. A single published source lists a destination package at ₹80,00,000 per day covering 75 rooms, which implies ₹1.6 crore and upward for a two-day exclusive wedding once the second day and extras are counted. Smaller non-exclusive celebrations are estimated between ₹40,00,000 and ₹1 crore, but estimates conflict across sources and the package figure is uncorroborated. We treat both as directional until a dated proposal exists.

The Westin Resort and Spa Himalayas at Narendranagar is the scale option, sitting above the valley with 141 rooms, verified. Its ballroom takes 300 guests and its lawns 600-plus, though capacity quotes reaching 1,500 floating conflict between sources and we would not plan against them. Plates sit around ₹4,500. The number that matters: two planner quotes converge on a full two-night, three-day buyout for up to 300 guests at roughly ₹2.75 to 3 crore plus taxes, which makes the Westin the most expensive wedding in Uttarakhand and the only true big-format five-star play here.

Between the tiers sits Aloha on the Ganges, the honest mid-tier: 120 rooms on the river, plates from ₹1,500, capacity around 200 guests. One fact families must know early: it is a pure vegetarian property, and no non-vegetarian food is served, which is either irrelevant or decisive depending on your guest list. No reliable published totals exist for complete weddings at Aloha, so we say so plainly; budgeting there begins with a direct quote, not an internet figure.
